The phases of the moon are a difficult scientific concept for my students to understand. They see the changes in the sky but have a hard time grasping how they are affected and why those changes occur. I need to illuminate their learning by giving them a wider view of the solar system. This model will be used to help students gain a universal perspective, allowing them to observe a system in place they would not be able to otherwise. With access to this resource they will learn about their connection to universal forces and work with the knowledge in deeper and more impactful ways.
