Having laptops that my students could use in small groups would make a world of difference in their lives. Most do not have access to technology at home. They currently cannot take advantage of the the online resources our district provides to help the English Language Learners or the students who are not at grade level in Reading or Math. Being able to give them all equal access daily to research based programs such as I-Ready and Imagine Learning would greater increase the possibility of decreasing any learning gaps that currently exists. Without the technology in the classroom I fear they will not make the same growth targets.
