I teach 8th grade English, history (also called humanities core) and video production at a large, urban, public middle school. Our school serves a racially and socioeconomically diverse group of students. My classes include kids who struggle to reach proficiency, and kids of all backgrounds who excel. In the same classes, I have English language learners, as well as a number of special education students. I am constantly trying keep my classes engaging and worthwhile. To do this I am always on the lookout for ways to improve both what I am teaching and how I am teaching. So I constantly reflect on my practice and what ways I might improve. This can create material needs, which is why I turn to you, generous supporters of education, our future. Thanks!
