At our High School, we strive to make our students not only feel safe and comfortable in our classrooms, but confident as well. By donating to our project, the students will not only learn essential academic skills and methods of work from using the supplies, but also have the opportunity to see how advocating for your needs can lead to success. The supplies will be used for a variety of things throughout each class. For example, the highlighters and post-it notes are used to teach students to organize their ideas while annotating- this allows the students to highlight specific literary elements while reading in order to lead our class discussions. The notebooks allow students to stay organized and come prepared to class. By coming prepared to class and knowing where to find the material or notes for the day in their notebooks, the students have a sense of accomplishment right from the start of class and feel successful. The hole puncher and stapler are for students to use for their papers to make sure they are properly filing their work and keeping their papers together as needed. By providing our students and classrooms with these supplies, we are showing our students that with dedication and creating the right set up, anyone can reach success. Please help our students not only receive a better education but also experience the change and benefit that one person can make.
