Distance learning has been a challenge in order to keep my students connected especially because they "Love" to read. Unfortunately, many of my students don't have books at home. Currently, they are relying on online reading materials. I have always tried to incorporate literacy into the common core in the classroom as much as possible. I would Love to implement both "read-alouds" and "book clubs," in our Zoom meetings. This would help foster their love of literature. Also, they would be able to continue doing their book studies on their chapter books. When we meet, we can hold discussions about their books. I know that my students would love having these new resources to help entice them to learn remotely. I miss my kiddos. Even though we're far apart they are close in my heart!
