My students could really use an iPad and a computer for our classroom. All students in my class are performing below grade level. They need to practice skills daily in order to succeed. The iPad will provide my students will educational apps and talk-to-text which will help my non-readers and non-writers tremendously! My students are in third and fourth grade and are expected to write essays; however, some struggle to write words and proper sentences. Therefore, the iPad will help them express their wonderful ideas and produce sentences for them. In addition, this technology will advance their skills in reading and math by practicing on educational websites which target their specific needs. I would like to send home the computer with students who do not have access to technology at home. This way, all students will have a chance to practice skills at home and hopefully approach grade level!
