Children especially five year olds need to move. Flexible seating allows students to wobble with the Kids Kore Wobble chair, lean with the Comfy Floor Seats, or bounce with the Space Balance Ball, all while learning. As flexible seating provides movement is also creates less disruptions and distractions because students are allowed to fidget as needed. Many of my students have special needs and having options like flexible seating can help make a difference in my students' learning. Several flexible seating options stimulate students’ sense of touch. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD. By donating to our project you will not only help my students become more engaged but you will also be catering to their own special needs to help them achieve academic success.
