My 6th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students use technology in the classroom almost every single day. Many times we watch videos, or use different websites aimed to help students enhance their reading and reading comprehension skills. These online programs are crucial to their learning; specially now in this technological world we live in. These kids already give their 110% while working but without the proper tools, there is only so much they can do. All students use a program called Reading Plus which helps them with their silent reading fluency as well as reading comprehension and vocabulary. For this program, students need headphones that the school does not provide for them. My juniors and seniors also use an SAT/ACT prep program called Prepworks which helps prepare them for their tests. There are many videos that need to be watch and without the headphones in class, we simply can't do it. These headphones would allow for my students to complete all the required tasks in class.
