My science classes are organized by learning stations. Each learning station is aligned to a learning style. The next segment my students will learn about is food chains. I am asking for your help in obtaining owl pellets. This will provide engagement as my students apply the scientific method to dissect and explore food chains using owl pellets. By giving my students the ability to dissect owl pellets, they can apply any background knowledge they have gained on food chains to clarify their hypothesis on the food source for owls. The can then take their new found knowledge and use the scientific method to research other concepts related to science such as how energy is found within ecosystems. Providing experiments that are hands-on is my mission as I challenge students to demonstrate their inquiry based learning skills.
