My school has a 1 to 1 policy where every student receives their own Chromebook for the year. This is a wonderful concept that allows teachers and students to conduct class in a manner far from the classic ways of school. In my classroom, students connect to Google classroom where I can assign notes, videos and practice math problems. We need one Chromebook for our classroom. Connecting students with the use of computers is essential to advancing their education. However, when a student's laptop breaks down, or they simply forget to charge their computer; they no longer have their essential tool that connects them to the lesson of the day. The extra Chromebook that I am requesting is the start of what I hope to be a plethora of Chromebooks that I can provide to the students for those "rainy" days.
