Most of my students, especially my boys, are excited when it comes to drums. I love it when they get excited because using drums helps my students connect with rhythm and steady beat while also helping them get out extra energy. I believe that playing a drum to your heart's content is good for the soul...and it's fun! I have a dream that we can have a drum circle where every student gets a drum. Drums circles are a great way for students to engage in rhythm, beat, and with each other. The drum circle process values the individual, where each participant has a drum, while encouraging the aspect of community when every individual plays to create one sound with their peers. Please make a way for us to continue growing musicians and people by providing these drums for our dream drum circle. It will help us foster a place where we can continue to learn music, grow as people, and share with each other in a drumming community...one drum at a time.
