My class is very full this year, and the portable surf desks will provide my students with some freedom of movement in otherwise limited space. My students like to sit around the room, but often struggle to manage their materials and sit well enough to maintain focus. These desks provide so many options - sit on the ground, sit on a chair, sit in groups, or sit on your own. From a teaching perspective, it also provides me greater flexibility with fluid groupings of students because I will be able to move groups around the room without having to move furniture.
