By having alternative seating options in the classroom students are able to make a choice of which seating arrangement is best for their learning. By giving them a choice I am helping them begin to learn how to make appropriate choices to make them more successful in the classroom. Having alternative seating increases engagement. With these seating options, my students will be able to work in small groups without bulky chairs getting in our way. The wobble cushions and floor seats seating will also help when we work in groups or read independently! The kids tend to work on the floor because they spread out. Now they will have room to work and be comfortable while they do it!
