We are currently in the third year of Books to Movies Club, and we have gone through all the high interest books in our library. This year, over 25 students have signed up for the opportunity to participate in this club during their afternoons. The kids in Books to Movies Club desire the opportunity to read high interest novels and then watch the movies and discuss the differences between the two. With your support, each student will get 4 books to read throughout this semester, and the books will be donated to our school library afterwards for even more kids to enjoy. I am requesting sets of the books Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, Darkest Minds and Everything, Everything to expose our kids to diverse characters, rich plots, and endless discussion. The book Ready Player One will expose kids to a different genre of science fiction. We hope that with all of these books, kids will be able to discuss how fiction can influence each of them to see the world around them in a different way.
