Having a library with developmentally appropriate books that also expose children to diversity and positive self-image will allow my students to develop a lifelong love of reading as well as a loving understanding of humanity. As a pre-K and kindergarten teacher I understand the need to have books that inspire, are inclusive, and engage these young minds. Having a boombox and headphones for story books with CDs will also aid in building literacy skills. The children already love reading to our classroom bunny, and soon they will have many more options to read to him! Thank you for your support.
