My students deserve comfortable seating to be able to learn in the best ways they know how. Several of our desks are broken and unstable, so new furniture would benefit them this year and hopefully for years to come. Not only will this furniture replace some old and broken items, but it will allow them the freedom to choose where and how they work. My students are certainly more engaged in their work and, more often than not, they are less disruptive when they are given a choice of where to work. Several of my students work better by standing or having the ability to move around freely, therefore I have requested standing tables and stools to enable more mobility. I have also requested a few comfortable circle chairs that can be used for our weekly reading days.
