My students are challenged in many ways. Many have disabilities that have kept them from learning. They easily become frustrated and need frequent breaks. With the interactive learning environment, the sensory needs will be fulfilled during our small group learning so that the students will maintain their engagement longer. I plan on using these materials in a small group, supervised environment where I have the student's attention. With the flexibility in the seating, the students will bounce and receive sensory feedback while maintaining attention to their learning. The stability features of this seating will allow the students to incorporate the seating while learning and providing a mental break. The student's immediate needs are learning to read. This is my goal for them. I want to help them learn to read increase their opportunities for success.
