My students are learning about numbers. Using math manipulatives such as the Numbers and Counting Self Checking Magnet Boards will help them to actually see why the number 6 is greater than three! As we compare numbers my kiddos need to have hands-on activities to truly explore the sameness and differences in quantities. When using activities such as the Number Rockets my students can see that the number 5 can not only be represented with a numeral but also by tally marks and a quantity of five dots! A strong foundation in mathematical skills will help my students to be stronger in math for years to come.
