This listening center will be a great addition to my classroom! Students will have a fun educational center to go to when they are finished with work, while encouraging independent reading. My students are just beginning to read, and they have not developed the skills needed for independent reading. A listening center would allow students to follow along, while listening to a fluent reader. We need a CD player with headphones and grade level books to get my center started and students reading. This will provide me with a great start, and I can gradually add to my audio library.
