Technology is all around us. By using it in new ways, students can explore new hobbies and career paths. Adding a hydroponic garden will help teach sustainability and expose my students to new herbs. Students will enjoy using the fresh herbs in our cooking labs and in our student-run cafe. An embroidery machine will incorporate technology into our Creative Sewing class by having students design and execute something unique on the projects we create in class. I know students will be so excited to use both of these items in the classroom as we learn ways that technology is used in our everyday lives.
