Can you imagine being a ten year old and being asked to sit still every day while you learn? Now, add the idea that you have to sit still on hard, plastic chairs. Flexible thinking requires flexible seating! I teach literacy to 58 fourth graders every day. These students come into my class room eager to learn. However, I have noticed that students become antsy, standing while reading, and attempting to squeeze themselves on a small carpet in our classroom to avoid sitting on the hard chairs while they read/write/think. I would love to provide some flexible seating options for my flexibly thinking students! We are asking for wobble cushions that students can sit on in order to get the "wiggles" out, comfortable chairs to sit on, and stools. Students will be able to choose what they would like to sit on throughout the day to learn!
