Technology is something that my students are very excited about using this year. I was currently moved to a new classroom where it has an Apple TV, but there is no iPad to use with it. My teaching becomes very limited since I am not able to demonstrate pictures, videos, or even new strategies that my students could really benefit from. By having an iPad it will really help my students understand concepts better, make learning more fun and interesting, and prepare my students for the future. For instance, if I am teaching a science concept, I can play a video relevant to the content to make my lesson more entertaining for my students. By playing the video it will automatically make my students become more engage within the lesson being taught and will help them focus and retain more the information. By the usage of the iPad my students will see subjects that might be challenging or boring for them more attractive towards their cognitive development. Now a days, technology is an essential skill in order to be successful in this day and age. By having educational technology in my classroom it will better prepare my students for the future and sets them up for this increasing digital economy. In addition, the iPad will help my students improve their retention rate of the new learning taken in place, differentiate among each students learning skills, and make connections within the students life styles.
