At my school, about 80% of students live in food-insecure households. Children who are hungry struggle to regulate their mood and are unable to learn as well as students who have the proper nutrition. When students have access to snacks throughout the day they are able to build their emotional regulation skills and learn better in the classroom. I am lucky enough to work with students in Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. Being able to be the person to provide students with a snack when they need it would be so great. Our students are all so kind and excited to come to school every day and learn. I want this to be the best school year for them!

About my class
