My students are all very different from one another. Some learn best sitting in desks while others learn better with a different seating option. This project will allow them the flexibility and opportunity to learn in a way that best suits them by providing them with bean bags, wiggle seats, and sensory cushions. As of now, my classroom consists of desks and chairs all positioned in pods. I plan to keep some desks, but incorporate the flexible seating in a way that allows students the independence and flexibility to be in charge of their own learning experience. As 4th graders, they know what helps them focus and what keeps them engaged. Giving them the freedom to learn in a way that benefits them is a major goal I would like to achieve with this project.
