Gaston Elementary is at a new beginning. We were formally a K-12 school and have now been established as a Pre K-6th grade school. With a new school there are new needs and challenges faced by our students, teachers and administration. Finances are a large part of that. We are a low income community with a 73% rate of free and reduced lunches. So we have to ask for help a lot. With Donors Choose we are given the opportunity to have things in our classrooms that teachers here can only dream about. Everything from new rugs to ipads have been given to us and we are grateful. With the help of our donors we are changing the world!
