These materials will make an impact on all the students in the elementary school that I teach at. I am lucky enough to teach at a school that has just been renovated and has a beautiful STEM lab. One thing that we are missing in the lab are materials for the scientists to become engineers! Some examples of what we build are homes from my hermit crab, models of planets, statues for a unit on shadows and so much more!We are in need of Legos and Lego building plates so that students can build and be creative engineers. Students are so excited when they come into the STEM lab and they are very interested in making models. Sometimes we make models by drawing and other times students are asked to build.
