All the books listed are read alouds from Rooted in Reading. Read alouds allow the teacher to demonstrate the reading strategies that will be taught and discussed in that day's lesson. With these books, my students will be able to both enjoy a read aloud and see successful reading strategies in action. My students absolutely love to be read to, and these books will provide them with a variety of authors, illustrators, characters, and plots. Many of these student are not exposed to books at home, so when they are introduced to a new book at school they are truly excited. I know they will all be extremely appreciative of these books, and so will I!
