I will install the Bouncy Bands under each desk in my Algebra I class. There will be no need to announce the presence of the bands; the students will just start using them. As with most ideas that are effective with teenagers, it will stop working if you tell them that it was your plan. Research shows that students who use the bouncy bands have better concentration and less anxiety. Some of the reasons that these bands will help are: 1) Focus better in class. 2) Stay calm when working and during tests. 3) Relieve stress when work is hard or confusing. 4) Makes learning fun! Algebra I is already a hard subject for most students. With the students in class for 67 minutes the Bouncy Bands will help students concentrate. Another positive will be that the students should be able to achieve mastery on the concepts. Please help my class get the materials needed for success!!!
