My students are inspiring, hard working, energetic, and curious 11th and 12th grade students from mostly Hispanic or African American backgrounds. Most of my students work in order to support themselves or help their families meet ends. Although they may work, they are great students who want to go onto college and most hope to become 1st generation college graduates. As a former student in my district, I know the hardships many students face and I want to help them reach for all their dreams and become educated scientifically driven individuals who will contribute to their communities. My students want to learn about science in invigorating and entertaining ways. My job is to make this happen!
