Engagement and motivation are the cornerstone to learning when something is difficult for someone. In my classroom, students struggle to learn so providing learning opportunities for them with a multisensory approach will help them to enjoy the struggle that learning is for them. Using legos to measure or create a setting for their story will help them to engage all the areas needed to make their learning fun and successful. Gel pens and raised line paper will make the process of writing smoother. Puppets will allow a student's oral language and vocabulary to grow through play or retelling a story using props.
