Backpacks, comp books, and pencils will enable my students to complete the school year with the necessary supplies to complete daily assignments. Most of our students feel defeated and often give up because they are without simple supplies for daily use. They often feel inadequate and ashamed because their families are unable to afford some of the most basic supplies for everyday learning. Providing the students with these supplies will not only help them to concentrate on assignments and learning, it will restore their self respect and eradicate that feeling of being inadequate because of lack of necessary classroom items. Their book bags, at this point of the school year are torn and dirty, and most students carry their heavy books in their hands.

About my class
