Having access to books and texts that my students truly want to read is essential to their learning. My students are broadening their understanding of the world and their love of reading but we need some help. Help me give my students the new, diverse, and interesting books that they deserve. Also, we don't have a social studies curriculum, so the student friendly news articles found in Scholastic News give us the opportunity to discuss what is going on in current events and allows students to develop critical thinking skills. The most exciting days in our reading classroom is when we get new things to read. You can be part of bring 40 wonderful fourth graders that joy!
