For our population, a lot of the students have many global challenges including memory, retention and academic skills. iPads will help them become independent and navigate the curriculum and rewards as something they can do on their own. It will give them ownership and some control! Hands-on activities with manipulatives from Lakeshore will help the students learn in the best way they can, versus pencil/paper tasks all of the time. Our students have multiple needs and are globally delayed and using hands-on activities and technology will help their expressive communication when they cannot verbally answer. It will give them multi-modal ways to learn academics specific to their learning needs.
