The classroom carpet space is a common meeting place and where we do more than half of our learning each day! This is where so many stories are told, discussions are had, and learning takes place, especially for young learners. We do morning meetings, number corner math discussions, writing mini lessons, and so much more at carpet each day to practice our speaking and listening skills. Building a community where everyone feels welcome and included is so critical to developing confident, and capable students. This carpet will help my students have a place that is their own, and will help them grow and improve their speaking and listening skills along with their math, reading, and writing skills.
