My students burst out with excitement when we have the chance to work on tablets during reading workshop! They enjoy using various apps to record them selves reading, explore new and different kinds of books, practice their reading skills, and listen to many audio books. This is their chance to become a better reader through their own exploration. I plan to use the Amazon Fire Tablets during my workshop time to let the students explore and read different books through book apps like EPIC! I also plan on having the students use apps like Seesaw to record themselves reading and listen to their recording to help them become a more fluent and accurate reader. They will also use apps like Moby Max to explore and learn new reading skills. Lastly I also plan to use and implement these tablets throughout all the different subjects they learn within the classroom to help them become the pilot of their own learning. These Amazon Fire Tablets will further engage my students in their reading workshop and encourage a deep love for reading and learning. Since these tablets will be used so frequently I can only hope the cases and charging station that will also be funded through the project will help keep the Amazon Fire tablets safe and fully charged for many years!
