I work in an inner-city school. My students are from low income households and most of them receive free and reduced-price meals for breakfast and lunch each day. My scholars are curious, silly, loving, playful, kids who enjoy coming to school every day to learn, despite the challenges they often encounter. Most of my scholars face many challenges and hardships from their environment that are out of their control but they still come to school with a positive attitude. For a lot of students, our school is a place where they feel safe and loved. I love my students and and hopeto have a positive influence on their lives in hopes to guide them to make the best choices for their future.
