Our active life-skills students are studying the negative effects of plastic bags and plastic bottles on the environment. Students are challenged to re-purpose plastic items such as milk and water gallons, and to develop their own designs on them. We need fabric paints, stencils, brushes and tie-dye to create designs on reusable canvas bags which can be used at the supermarket, reducing the use of plastic shopping bags. We also need paints for decorating plastic soda and water bottles to use as bird houses in the Spring, and to paint other plastic items to repurpose in a garden environment, such as decorative flower pots.

About my class
