These materials will make a big difference in student learning. We are so busy reading, writing, and doing math all day. Play allows children to use their creativity and imagination. Play allows children to engage and interact with one another and the world around them. These materials will allow my students to have this developmental time. Play is one of the main ways children learn and develop. This project will give my students the opportunity to become absorbed in what they are doing. Play helps children develop language skills, problem-solving, and reasoning skills as well as improve their ability to stay focused in class and control behaviors. Providing children with a variety of play materials will help their learning in different ways. Sand and water play are an early introduction to science. Painting encourages creativity, imagination and expressing feelings. Blocks help develop logic, recognizing shapes, and different sizes and building. Play is such an important part of a child's early development. Play helps communication skills to mature. Playtime is the best time!
