Over the past decade, jobs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) have grown at an exceedingly faster rate than non-STEM jobs. What does this mean for my students? Presently, that means that my students are at a great disadvantage. Lack of access to technology and tools that promote collaboration hinder my student's opportunities to advance in our quickly evolving technical world. Headphones with microphones will allow my students to collaborate on projects (STEM) that reinforce collaboration skills and enable higher level thinking with more authentic experiences in the classroom. Students will be able to create presentations and videos with voice recordings. The headphones with microphones could also be used in collaboration projects through Skype with other classrooms near and far.
