I would like to transition one of my table desk groups into a flexible seating arrangement. Flexible seating happens when you have items such as pillows or bean bags on the floor or around a small table. Flexible seating is important for students because it allows them to be in a comfortable learning environment, provides them with choices, and helps inspire physical activity as well as community and collaboration. My vision for this table group is to have one carpet square with different seating options around it such as, a shagalicious floor rest, a balance disk, and a big pillow. I would also like a piece of Plexiglas in the middle of the rug so they have a place to write down thoughts and ideas.
