I work in a Title 1 district at a Title 1 campus with students who were dramatically influenced by the wrath of Hurricane Harvey last September. Many of them still have not recovered lost items such as technology and may not even be able to afford Wifi in their homes. My students benefit greatly from various educational apps, however, due to the limited access rarely get ample time to work. The iPad provides access to multiple learning styles, engaging young minds. Since the screen is touch-screen, that accesses tactile learners, while there is also visual and audio stimulation and engagement integrated into the applications we regularly use.
