We are requesting support for transportation to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center where my students will create a replica of the geological, physical and ecological characteristic of an ocean environment. Geological - Replica of the Ocean Floor, Physical - Replica of the Zones of the Ocean, Ecological - Replica of a Food Chain. The purpose of this project is to help students understand the importance of oceans through experiences at the Virginia Aquarium as well as increasing their knowledge of the characteristics of the ocean environment (geological, physical, ecological). Student will also have the opportunity to visible see the ocean and attend a lunch. Many students have never been outside of Hopewell, Virginia. Thank you for your time!
