These materials will enable my gifted students to actively engage in hands-on learning activities across all subjects. Three projects that I plan to implement with these materials are designing Roman aqueducts, worm dissections, and engineering egg drop devices which will be dropped from the ladder of a fire truck. Students will need the plastic tubing, glue guns, glue, colored pencils and sharpeners, dowel rods, tape, markers, to engineer the aqueducts. Straws, glue guns, glue, tape, markers, colored pencils will be used for the egg drops. In addition, I will also gather cardboard, bubble wrap, 2-liter​ bottles, etc. for both of these projects. For the worm dissection, the dissection kits and worms will be used. Not only will students have the opportunity to collaborate and use critical thinking skills, these projects will give them the freedom to take legitimate risks, try out new ideas, and be innovators in their own rights. Help us explore! Be part of igniting learning interests that will benefit my students for a lifetime.
