Each day, my students come to a designated spot in my classroom for the calendar time and mini-lessons in math, reading and ELA. By adding this rug, my students will have their own unique spot to come to each day and learn knowledge to help them be sucessful in life. My students require a soothing environment to receive instruction, which allows them to maintain focus, especially during whole group instruction. Students will be able to use this place for small group activities, partner work, or just a relaxing spot to read in the classroom. This rug will add on to the instructional decor in my classroom for students to experience the warmth and energize their day. My students attend a Title I school. At this school over half of our students are from low income families. I love working with my students who come from humble, hardworking, and respectful homes. It takes a village to raise children right and therefore we work closely with our parents and communities to achieve this common goal!
