I will use these models to provide a hands on learing experience for my students. Evidence from science education research shows that significant learning gains are achieved when students participate in interactive engagement activities. Models provide representations of scientific concepts that can make the ideas more understandable to learners (Huddle, White and Rogers, 2000). By using these hands on models my students will be able to see what normally can not be seen, therefore increasing their understanding of organic chemistry. Working with models can enhance systems thinking abilities; these abilities are in dire need to remain competitive in the 21st Century.

About my class
