To teach reading concepts that are hard for special learners to grasp, teachers must teach in engaging and meaningful ways. Therefore, we are hoping to do many classroom transformations in Room 101 for the 2019-2020 school year. Our first project will be CONTRACTION SURGERY! Our classroom will be TRANSFORMED into a hospital. The materials that you are donating will be used to decorate our classroom like a hospital, and for our students to dress up as surgeons. During our Contraction Surgery, my students will each do hands on surgery on many words to make them into contractions. This will be an engaging and meaningful experience that will stick the concept of contractions in their brain forever!
