An iPad is an effective tool to accurately assess children to meet their diverse needs. To meet individual needs, I need to be able to accurately assess their strengths by appropriately accommodating their challenges. For example, I would be unable to assess language for a student diagnosed with Selective Mutism due to their lack of expressive language. By utilizing standardized assessments on the iPad, I can get the most accurate representation of their skills. There are many assessments on iPads to evaluate Executive Functioning and Attention Deficit. These evaluative tools are fun for students to complete and yield important data on their functioning.
