The mobile makerspace kits will encourage students to imagine, design, prototype, and create. A makerspace is defined as a collaborative workspace for exploring, learning, making, and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. The kits will provide students hands-on experience with emerging technology, facilitate ideas and innovation, apply knowledge to practical problems, and encourage collaboration. The kits can be used in the classroom or at home. Students will also see themselves as learners who have great ideas and transform those ideas into reality. The makerspace would be available for check out for all students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
