The use of TI-84 CE calculators in Math classrooms has been a game changer for how teachers design and implement their lesson plans to truly make sure that all students are presented with different methods and techniques to fully understand and solve a problem. These calculators will especially have a great impact on most of the students in my classroom who are visual learners since the calculators are able to represent multiple functions in multiple colors. I have noticed that my students’ engagement and motivation to learn new methods increases when they can visually see how functions work and how they can be manipulated using algebraic expressions. Additionally, the calculators can solve multi-step equations which will allow my students to quickly check their answers and identify where they need further clarification. These are versatile instruments that offer a hands-on mathematical experience to keep all students engaged.
