My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and home lives. They come to school hungry for knowledge and love. More than half of the kids are very active boys. My school is labeled as low income and trauma stricken. It is my first year in this building but not my first time teaching a challenging population of young learners. I want to provide my kids every opportunity for tools to help them focus, grow, and feel comfortable at school because it is their sanctuary.
